Pax Ottomana _{Nejat Göyünç Armağanı}

Pax-Ottomana, the latest publication of Yeni Türkiye & Sota, is dedicated to the honour of late Nejat Göyünç, who, in the words of Halil İnalcik, "explored and masterfully analysed many basic questions of Ottoman history". Prof. Göyünç has been a member of Yeni Türkiye's Editorial Board in such projects as The Great Ottoman-Turkish Civilisation (4 volumes, hard cover, ISBN 975-6782-17-X).

The book, edited by Kemal Çiçek, contains 35 articles and is aiming to provide the students of the field with a deep analysis of Ottoman history. The particular issues tried to be grasped include social and economic history, diplomacy, military organization and intellectual life of the Ottoman Empire. Most of the articles in the book do analyze the relations between the state and the non-Muslim communities.
