This study on the Roman Ancyra, undertaken between 2002 and 2007, includes the analysis of archaeological, epigraphic and historical data.
Given that the remains that we see today mostly date to the Roman or later periods, the focus of our study has been the Roman period.
The absence of a layout which would demonstrate the urban development of the city in the Roman period and the fact that nothing substantial has been published on the buildings of the city, except the temple of Augustus and Roma, makes our project even more important.
